"Endovenous ablation has an unparalleled success rate for the treatment of varicose veins."

In the past several years, the treatment of problematic, ailing and unsightly veins has progressed exponentially. At the vanguard of that advancement, Dr. Sanjoy Kundu and The Vein Institute of Toronto employ cutting-edge methods in order to serve patients in exciting and increasingly effective new ways.
One of only a handful of practitioners in Canada, Dr. Kundu and his associates use laser and radiofrequency thermal endovenous ablation to treat superficial venous insufficiency and varicose veins of the legs. Spider veins of the legs, chest and face are also treated with surface laser treatments.
Unlike the alternatives — notably time-consuming and painful surgical stripping — endovenous ablation promises a much higher success rate with far less discomfort and a quicker recovery. "Although our efficiency is high, with a success rate of about 95% and a recurrence rate of less than 1%, we stay abreast of the latest developments and continue to explore emerging techniques and equipment," explains Dr. Kundu.
While Dr. Kundu’s practice embraces continuous innovation, he insists on a traditional, hands-on approach to patient care. "During patient consultations, I do everything myself, taking their history, performing the ultrasound, and so on," he asserts. "I then make a PowerPoint presentation to explain the underlying problem and what we’re going to do to remedy it."
Combining that personal approach, a wide breadth of knowledge and well-honed technical expertise, Dr. Kundu is at the forefront of his field. "The techniques will continue to be refined and the end results will continue to improve," he concludes. "In the meantime, our patients are getting better care and results than ever before."
