Known for her charming approach with clients, architects and builders, Joanne Watson combines her clients’ wishes with her fresh approach to ‘new’ traditional and transitional design, resulting in inviting homes and beautiful personal spaces. “Today’s luxury is about the feelings and experiences we create in our homes,” says Joanne. “Establishing these parameters is what determines the face of the design. The personality unfolds from here.” Since opening her own residential design and decorating business in 1999, Joanne’s career has catapulted. Her work was recently published in two popular decorating/design books: Creating Great Guest Rooms/Time Warner and Decorating for the First Time. Many of Joanne’s projects have been featured in shelter as well as trade magazines, including: Canadian Living; Canadian House & Home; Small Room Decorating; The Washington Post; West of the City; Draperies and Window Treatments; and Window Fashions. Her clients’ projects have been featured on HGTV’s This Small Space and she has made appearances as the residential design expert on CHCH TV’s Breakfast Morning Show. Joanne was also the contributing design editor for Oakville Living Magazine and a freelance writer for Our Town/Downtown Oakville.
