For founding partner and president Dr. Herbert Silverstein, the Institute represents the realization of a dream to provide a world-class treatment center for diseases and disorders of the ear, hearing and balance systems. “Our patients benefit from a team of internationally renowned physicians, state-of-the-art equipment and a dedicated support staff conveniently located under one roof,” notes Dr. Silverstein. A leader in the field of otology, he is recognized for his ground-breaking accomplishments with respect to both Meniere’s disease and laser ear surgery. While Dr. Silverstein offers unparalleled experience and expertise, he attributes the Institute’s outstanding reputation to the breadth and depth of knowledge provided by his colleagues. Vice President Dr. Seth I. Rosenberg, a distinguished otologist, focuses on pediatric ear disease, sinus disorders, skull base surgery and facial nerve disorders. Dr. Jack J. Wazen, a specialist in restorative hearing and balance disorders, is also Director of Research for the Ear Research Foundation. As Director of the Premier Facial Plastic Surgery Center, Dr. Sumeet Bhanot provides a wide range of facial reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. In addition to the countless professional contributions made by Dr. Silverstein and his partners, they remain dedicated to the Sarasota community. Outreach programs seek to identify children or indigent individuals suffering from hearing loss while Dr. Silverstein continues to tickle the ivories in an effort to raise money for the Ear Research Foundation.
