A lifelong boating enthusiast, Russ spent his childhood on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, sailing from the lakes of Maine to Puget Sound. It’s no wonder that Russ’ love of the water ultimately drew him and his family to Sarasota, where they currently reside.

With 25 years’ experience owning and operating an international manufacturing company, Russ developed extraordinary business acumen and created a high-tech innovative liquid-applied roofing system that became number one in the U.S. market. Shortly thereafter, the sale of his company to the largest roofing products manufacturer in the world allowed him to finally pursue his lifelong dream – commercial boating.

In the commercial boating industry, Russ was regional sales manager for the largest boat dealership in the U.S., representing Boston Whaler, Sea Ray, Cabo and Hatteras, and he was also the Florida West Coast Director of Sales for Ferretti Yachts Product Group out of Italy.

Along with his passion for boating, Russ brings corporate international business sense to his current position as a yacht broker with Sarasota Yacht & Ship. Established for 25 years and recognized for its exceptional service and expertise, this brokerage firm was designated as Florida’s first Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB).
