For over 40 years, the distinct and innovative design of Plymouth Harbor on Sarasota Bay has become a Sarasota landmark. With exquisite views of the Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay, seen from virtually every residence, this spectacular community with its superb location surpasses even the most demanding of expectations. Plymouth Harbor is a not-for-profit, continuing care retirement community (CCRC). “Established in 1966, we were envisioned to be an inclusive, progressive community based on shared values and integrity,” proclaims President and CEO Harry E. Hobson. “Today we are still that community of distinction for active adults, 62 years young and better. Keeping our core values of trust, open communication and innovation enables Plymouth Harbor and its residents to build on those traditions.” Residents are deeply involved in both their local community as well as communities abroad. In creating the Sarasota Institute of Lifetime Learning (SILL), and the Glasser-Schoenbaum Human Services Center, residents have promoted the passion for continual personal growth while enriching the lives of the Sarasota community. They have inspired future generations by involving themselves with students from the elementary level, to higher education institutes, such as New College. Plymouth Harbor understands the evolving needs of generations and recognizes the importance of preparing for the lifestyle that individuals want. “This is the time to secure your lifestyle for the future,” concludes Harry Hobson, “and to be part of a community that looks beyond themselves in order to make a difference in the lives of others.” |
